STINK HAPPENS

How many of you have gone to the store and bought some mulch for your flower beds or the garden? When you get home from the store, you open the bag up and pour it out to discover this STINKY awful smell….Now your awesome garden area has this STENCH coming from it. That STINK is manure, crap, ca-ca, cow poop! Not what you expected.

But have you ever noticed what happens after a few weeks...the STINK is gone and the flowers have bloomed, or the tomatoes have gotten bigger...Why is that? That Mulch/Manure, while it STINKS, it brings valuable nutrients to the soil.

This can be just like life sometimes, wouldn't you say?

We all have times in our life when it just STINKS! Something happens to us that we really were not expecting and it really STINKS but it really depends on how we approach those STINKY things that will determine the outcome. If we were to complain about the manure smell in the yard and bag it back up we interrupt the process of something good, something new coming our way.

Don’t complain out the STINKY situation, have the mindset, this is preparing me for something great that GOD has for me. Too often we focus on the STINK and miss the beautiful thing that GOD has for us or we fail to see that He is setting us up for greater things. We have to ask ourselves, what is our FAITH level when STINK HAPPENS?

If our FAITH is strong we won’t allow the STINK to hold us back. When we give more attention to the STINK we give less to GOD. This is having a fixed mindset vs a growth mindset. Rather than just feeling life stinks, choose to look at the upside that will come from the stinky situation. Maybe there is something in this situation that will help you in another situation involving a relationship, work or school project your way.

When Stink Happens, get into a habit of asking yourself, What can I learn and how can I grow from this stinky situation? And know it will pass!

REMEMBER: What was meant for HARM, God will use for your ADVANTAGE!

Ps 4:1 David said, “God to ENLARGE me in my time of Distress”

Ps 118:5 I called on the Lord in distress; The Lord answered me and set me in a broad place or Spacious Place…6 The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?"

If God is for us WHO can be against us?!
