No Regrets!

I read a story this morning about a nurse who cared for people nearing death. She asked hundreds of patients in their last 12 weeks, what was their biggest regret in life. The number one regret, “I wish I had been true to who I was and not just lived to meet the expectations of others.”
It made me wonder, how many people today live this way; not being their true self. If we’re all honest, I believe we all could say, we deal with this or have dealt with this at some point in our life. Each of us were uniquely created and designed. However, when we put the expectations of others, fear of failure, fear of not being accepted, we are simply telling the one who created us (and ourselves) we don’t believe we’re good enough to be our true self. And that is the farthest from the truth. Respectfully, you cannot live trying to be who your parents want you to be, who your friends want you to nor who your boss wants you to be...Stay true to who God has created to be! Then you can live fully and with no regrets.
